Chickenless Strips are 100% plant-based protein made from Australian wheat and non-GMO European soy.
Intended to be rehydrated, seasoned, and cooked with an eating experience similar to white meat. 25-50mm when dry, increasing approximately when rehydrated or to 35-60 mm.
Chickenless Strips can be used in a wide variety of dishes as a plant-based protein with authentic meat-like texture and mouthfeel. It can be used where traditionally a white meat strip would be used.
Chickenless Strips can be pan-seared similar to white meat. Suggested applications include:
- Chicken Style Stir Fry
- Chicken Style Tacos
- Creamy Chicken Style, Mushroom and Leek Pie
HOW TO PREPARE
Open bag and add 500ml of cold water with flavour into the bag with protein.
Seal bag and gently shake. Remove excess air, reseal and place in the fridge for 4 hours to allow protein to absorb flavour and water.
After 4 hours, open and drain excess water from bag and add 1tbsp of vegetable oil. Seal bag and gently shake.
Protein is ready to cook.
HOW TO COOK
Sear in a hot pan with oil for 7-9 minutes, stirring every 1-2 minutes until evenly browned all over.
Season well with salt & pepper.
Allow protein to rest for 1-2 minutes before serving.
Serve hot or cold.
